Our philosophy is increasingly comprehensive and responsive to new research and requirements, embraces cultural competence, and is respectful of the daily demands of preschool families as well as Early Childhood professionals. This approach will encourage teachers to build a classroom community that empowers families with holistic strategies designed to achieve excellence in school readiness and the development of good character. Learning domains based on the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards are at the foundation of our curriculum.
Character Development and Enrichment Programs including music and movement, are purposefully interlaced into the everyday quality learning experiences. This ensures children have a quality experience with excitement and creativity woven into the daily curriculum. Our enrichment programs include physical development, science, religion, music, and the arts with activities related to the learning domains and performance standards.

Learning Domains:
The Domains are based on Ohio's Early Learning Guidelines. There are frequent overlaps in each subject areas and domains. Experiences in one area are likely to be repeated and impact another. Standards and learning outcomes within each domain provide quality and accountability guides for teachers to plan curriculum activities and learning experiences in the classroom and beyond. The Learning Domains are as follows:

• Social and Emotional Development The standards for Social and Emotional development involve behaviors that reflect children's emotional growth and their growing ability to successfully navigate their social worlds through interactions with teachers and peers. Strands in the social and emotional domain are Self and Relationships.
• Physical Well-Being and Motor Development Physical Well-Being and Motor Development standards address motor skills and health practices that are essential for children's overall development. These skills include the ability to use large and small muscles to produce movements, to touch, grasp and manipulate objects, and to engage in physical activity. The two strands in this domain are Motor Development and Physical Well-Being.  
• Approaches Toward Learning Approaches Toward Learning centers on the foundational behaviors, dispositions, and attitudes that children bring to social interactions and learning experiences. It includes children's initiative and curiosity, and their motivation to participate in new and varied experiences and challenges. The standards in the domain Approaches Toward Learning are organized in the following strands: Initiative; Engagement and Persistence; and Creativity.
•  Language and Literacy The standards for language and literacy reflect knowledge and skills fundamental to children's learning of language, reading and writing. Young children's languagecompetency pertains to their growing abilities to communicate effectively with adults and peers, to express themselves through language, and to use growing vocabularies and increasingly sophisticated language structures. The Language and Literacy domain consists of the following strands: Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing.
• Cognition and General Knowledge This domain includes those cognitive processes that enable all other learning to take place, as well as children's knowledge of the social and physical world. This domain is organized into the strand, Cognitive Skills and those concepts and skills in subdomains, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.
